plants can be delivered as a simple equipment supply as well as a complete turnkey solution.
In the energy markets, Wärtsilä markets and sells power plants to the Italian market. To date, Wärtsilä has delivered or has under construction in Italy, power plants having a total output of 1370 MW. Some 800 MW of this output is running on liquid biofuel. The Power Plants customers are mainly private industrial customers, but there are also municipalities and utilities. Several of the installed power plants in Italy are running on vegetable oil (palm oil) and on gas.
